Die, Monster, Die (1965)

H.P. Lovecraft in film continues with Die, Monster, Die. Again a rather loose adaptation of a Lovecraft short story, this one entitled "The Colour Out of Space".

  2. Another amazing film! Great shots!
Love that effect in the last one. The house and the decor in it is so beautiful.

  3. yeah yve, i hear ya.
i have this on vhs as well, most likely dubed from an AMC monsterfest during halloween in the nienties... and yes, i still have and use my vhs player.

i got the dvd through netflix to capture stills, though. so nice to see it in widescreen without all the tracking lines. i'm slowly trying to replace all those bad vhs copies with proper dvds.

    kk,
all the houses in these films are incredible... and pretty much all of them are on fire by the end of each film. so tragic.... all that amazing wallpaper, gone to ahses.

  5. Knocked my socks off when I saw it on tv back in '70 when I was 9 years old. Don Bank's music score is terrific. Sure would love to see more of the work of Freda Jackson; she and Karloff have a good scene together. I don't want to see a remake because all they'd do would be to gore it up, sex it up, you know. An excellent film.
