I always thought Christopher Lee would have been the better Holmes, I think Peter Cushing was Sherlock Holmes in this version. I still love Peter Cushing, just not in that part.

I always thought Peter Cushing was perfect for the part of Holmes and wished that they did more with him. I have a box set that I found at Best Buy a few years back of Christopher Lee as Holmes that you might like if you haven't seen them. Cant seem to find the set but here they are separately on amazon http://tinyurl.com/ybqw58d

I'll have to look for that on Amazon, I didn't realise he ever played Holmes. I wasn't suggesting PC wasn't a great actor, he just didn't fit my specific idea of the character for some reason.

OK, I've just found out that he played the part several times (or so Google suggests!), I really must stay in and watch more films!
