Thanks for these. A wonderfully atmospheric piece of cinema. I've foolishly started a blog to try and review every Hammer film I can, so I'm looking forward to writing on this little gem.
Hi! TOH... Once again!...very nice screenshots from a film that I have never watched, but owned (past tense used because I just gave Hammer's Icon of Horror DVD to a friend.) Icons Horror Collection
For those of you who are in search of this film you can purchase it over there on Amazon.com...
...I'am not sure if you can find it a lower price somewhere else too...(Shrug my shoulders)...
By the way, you may want to search other DVD outlets...before purchasing it from Amazon.com Thanks, for sharing! DeeDee ;-D
This was a great one to revisit and do captures. Another great Hammer film that's for sure. Great Blog you have Watching Hammer. Will be reading you for sure. I have a stack of more Hammer films to get to. I finally have a dvd player again so more coming soon!
The scariest shot I can remember from "Scream Of Fear" (I saw it in a theatre in the early 60s), was the scene underwater in an ancient weed-filled swimming pool as we approach and gradually make out the dead body staring back at the camera (and protagonist).
That film did have a visual/scenic flare, for sure.
NOTE: This is my first stop at this very cool site. I have never seen many of these genre still pics before, and I've been a genre fan all my life. I am sincerely impressed!!
