Artwork in Strait-Jacket (1964) credits

Joan Crawford
Director: William Castle
IMDB
Columbia's headless statue at the end of the credits..

Any information about this artist would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I always guessed it might be the work of Burt Schonberg. He did the family portraits in House of Usher and he also did a fair amount of uncredited work for film and television (episodes of Night Gallery and The Twilight Zone, etc.). It is reminiscent of his style to me. But it's just a guess, I have no corroboration.

Thanks Bethy! I will check into it. The copy I have does not have the end credits. Hopefully he (or whoever the artist) is credited there.

This is some very frightening and surrealistic artwork. Especially the 5th one.

Some of those images are quite disturbing. I get used to seeing visceral images, but these are quietly freaky.

Great movie, Crawford was at her psychotic best in it. The art is somewhat disturbing which makes it perfectly suited to the movie...

Thanks for posting.
