thanks ladies. so sorry to be out of commission for so long. i never get tired of this movie either. i loved so many of the stills i took, that i had to put the remainder on my other blog.

yeah, i'd like to get my hands on a good copy of House of the Long Shadows. all three boys [vincent, christopher + peter] in one film. it would make for the perfect O.H. post this time of year. the only dvd version available is apparently an unwatchable print though. too bad, maybe next year.

I have a copy of House of the Long Shadows. But yes its a horrible copy and has Swedish subtitles. That film would be perfect for this time of year for sure. Yes Hopefully by next year. Thanks Micha!

Hello and thankyou for these stills. Just recently found Obscure Hollow and it is a treasure trove. I'm storyboarding an animated film that has an Edgar Poe-ish mood & the fantastic labour-of-love work on this site is going to be invaluable in designing sets and layouts. Thanks to you and the fellow contributors of this brilliant site! One brief note: I found some other good links to other blogs from this site, but one site in your links (I forget which one -not very helpful I know- but it's emphasis was, at first glance, on kitsch and pulp) had absolutely shocking images of real mutilated and violated human corpses. If you find out which site could you remove it? I wish I had not encountered the two or three images I saw. If children ever saw those pictures they'd be really traumatised. Anyhow, sorry for that rant. Don't really agree with censorship but some stuff on the net is just really 'off'. LOVE THIS BLOG. Regards, David (Australia)
