Manuel Orazi - 1895 Calendrier Magique Lithographs

Much to much delight, i stumbled upon a yet another amazing image blog. Ephemera Assemblyman is an image collectors dream come true. I still have yet to really dive in and sift through all it's glory, but these haunting images in particular made me think of the Obscure Hollow. Obscure Hollow is up for "Best Horror Blog" at this years Rondo Awards!

It has just been announced that The Obscure Hollow has been nominated for the 7th Annual Rondo Hatton Classic Horror Awards in the "Best Horror Blog" of 2008 category! (Category #15 - which is a new category this year). Here is what the site says about the awards:

"These awards are by fans, for fans. Every Rondo nominee is being recognized for a significant achievement in the genre -- great filmmaking, strong writing, significant scholarship or just plain fun. So please take a look at the ballot and let the nominees know how much we appreciate their work by voting.

The winners will receive Rondo statuettes. The statuette is a miniature version of the bust of Rondo Hatton seen in the Universal film, HOUSE OF HORRORS (1946)" (!)
