it's been so long since i've seen this. i actually almost watched it the other day. i especially love the creepy painting shot. i just love horror films that have creepy paintings in them.

There was a painting with a skull I wish they got a close up of. Perhaps I will try and see if I can get a decent one today before I return the film. Its a beautiful film I will have to own this one eventually. The design wasn't that elaborate. But Gloria Holden's beauty and elegance stole every scene.

i have the dracula - the legacy collection which has five dracula movies, including dracula's daughter. i believe it also has bela's original dracula with phillip glass's score [performed by kronos quartet].
the frankenstein series from this collection is also worth investing in.
